Jake Holliday

Service Manager

ake has grown alongside Acorn — quite literally. As the son of the charity’s founders, he spent his childhood helping out on the farm after school, and many of the people we support today have known him for nearly two decades. That personal connection, and his natural ease with people, make Jake a trusted and familiar face across our services.

Now a Service Manager, Jake oversees a team supporting individuals within our day opportunities and supported living settings. He is known for his calm nature, problem-solving mindset and strong relationships with both staff and families. He’s especially gifted at building trust with those who might initially struggle to feel safe, and helping new or shy individuals feel part of the group.

Jake believes in working side-by-side with the people we support — whether it’s on the farm, during an activity, or simply having a chat. He leads with respect, consistency and a great sense of humour. His experience growing up with Acorn has given him a deep understanding of the charity’s values — not just as words on a wall, but as actions that matter every day.

As Acorn continues to grow, Jake is part of the next generation of leadership helping to carry the culture forward — ensuring the charity stays grounded in its roots while continuing to evolve and improve
