Head of Services
I first came to Acorn back in 2010 as a community support worker for another provider, but soon became a support worker for Acorn and have been here ever since. I’ve had a few jobs here, I started as a support worker, then Assistant manager and then the Registered manager/ Head of regulated services. My role is to ensure that people who receive care and support from us is delivered above beyond the expected standards set by the Care Quality Commission and the local authorities we serve. I lead a high skilled management team who strive to make the difference. I love working for this charity because you know that you’re making a difference to someone’s life for the better. I don’t like to hide myself in the office, I still like to support the people we serve as often as I can, so you will see me out and about, please say “Hi”!
