“The Acorn Factor” which was held on the 22nd October at the Old Memorial Hall in Old Malton was a fantastic success and nearly 100 people attended!
There was a Talent Show with 5 acts and one of the acts was a well-known face here at Acorn, Kris. Kris played his own music while some of his drone footage was shown on a screen. It was a great performance so well-done Kris! After a hot supper we held a raffle and then an auction to sell off one of the items that was made out of horseshoes by our metalwork team at the farm – a large pig. The bidding was fierce, but it finally went for a bid of £100! A Local band “The Nobodys’” finished off the night and got lots of people up on the dance floor. Many of the people we support here at Acorn attended the event and really enjoyed a good night out and it was so good to get so many people together for an enjoyable evening which raised nearly £900 for the charity!
