Nicholas Storr

Service Manager

Nicholas joined Acorn in early 2019 and quickly found his calling. With a background in social care dating back to age 18, he brought years of experience — but it’s his grounded, empathetic style and love of animals that truly set him apart.

Today, Nicholas holds responsibility for Acorn’s specialist services across both our Supported Living and Day Service settings. These are services designed for people with more complex needs, requiring consistency, skill and a highly personalised approach. Nicholas works closely with teams, families and the people we support to make sure that each individual receives thoughtful, safe, and empowering care — care that truly fits them.

He’s known for building strong, trusting relationships and keeping people at the centre of every decision. His calm nature, creative thinking and dedication to doing things the right way make him a key part of Acorn’s leadership team.

Nicholas believes in the value of shared experience — whether that’s making someone laugh on a tough day, helping a person find their voice, or supporting someone to settle into a home where they feel they truly belong. You’ll usually find him out and about, muddy boots and all, spending time with the animals and using those moments to create calm, connection and comfort for the people we support.
